The Compassus hospice program serving South-Central Missouri was recognized as one of the organization’s top three programs in the country during the company’s Excellence Awards ceremony in Phoenix, Arizona, last week. It was named a Compassus Program of Distinction for its high performance in categories based on the organization’s core values of compassion, integrity, excellence, teamwork and innovation.
Compassus’ Excellence Awards are rooted in the principles that inform the company’s mission and services and recognize programs that exceed expectations in providing high-quality patient care.
“The South-Central Missouri program has distinguished itself as an exemplary model for our organization, thanks to the compassion and dedication of our local leaders and teammates,” said Compassus Chief Operating Officer Laura Templeton. “Their accomplishment reflects the mission-driven approach they take in providing comfort and support to patients with serious, life-limiting illness and their families. I am proud of their commitment to outstanding service and upholding the Compassus mission, vision and core values.”
Compassus provides home-based care services including home health, infusion therapy, palliative and hospice care. The company’s nearly 6,000 team members serve more than 100,000 patients annually across 29 states.
“This recognition affirms our team’s dedication to providing personalized care that aligns with our core values and aims to advance well-being and honor quality of life,” said South-Central Missouri Area Executive of Clinical Operations Dixie Mathis. “We will continue to provide exceptional care and support that addresses the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of our patients, families and community.”
