BEDFORD, NH – Compassus, a nationwide provider of integrated home-based care services, including hospice care, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Hernandez, M.D., as associate medical director for the Bedford, New Hampshire, hospice program. Dr. Hernandez brings extensive experience in internal medicine and elder care, strengthening Compassus’ dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in Bedford and the Nashua area.
Dr. Hernandez joins Compassus with over a decade of health care leadership experience, specializing in internal medicine and geriatric care. Most recently, she served as an Internal Medicine Physician at Vantage Healthcare in Hampton, New Hampshire, where she provided comprehensive care to patients for over four years. Prior to that, she held key positions at TeamHealth in Peabody, Massachusetts, and Partners HealthCare in Boston, Massachusetts, where she was integral in elder care and care management initiatives.

In her role as associate medical director, Dr. Hernandez will oversee the medical care delivered by the hospice program in Bedford. She will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers and other dedicated professionals to ensure that each patient receives the highest standard of care.

Dr. Hernandez completed her fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Harvard Medical School and her Internal Medicine Residency at the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She also completed a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, furthering her expertise in elder care and care management.
