ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Bon Secours Home Care programs serving the greater Tampa Bay area announced a new name today: Bon Secours Home Care by Compassus. The name change reflects a joint venture partnership between Bon Secours Mercy Health, the fifth-largest Catholic health system in the U.S., and Compassus, a leading national provider of innovative home-based health care services, finalized earlier this year.
Locations in St. Petersburg and Sun City Center formerly managed by Bon Secours will be rebranded and managed by the partnership.
While the names are changing, patients and families will continue to receive the same high-quality, compassionate care from the team members they know and trust. The partnership with Compassus allows for an added level of support for Bon Secours patients’ ongoing journeys across the care continuum and beyond the health system walls.

Seniors are expected to account for more than 30% of Florida’s population – over eight million people – by 2045. With most adults desiring to age in place, the need for home-based care services is projected to grow nationwide. The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reports more than 150,000 patients elected hospice in the state last year.
