GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Bon Secours St. Francis Home Care and Open Arms Hospice programs serving the greater Greenville, South Carolina, area announced new names today: Bon Secours Home Care and Hospice by Compassus. The name changes reflect a joint venture partnership between Bon Secours Mercy Health, the fifth-largest Catholic health system in the U.S., and Compassus, a leading national provider of innovative home-based health care services, finalized earlier this year.
The partnership will also be reflected in the Bon Secours McCall Hospice House of Greenville by Compassus as part of the joint venture partnership. Compassus’ Gaffney, South Carolina, hospice program will be rebranded Bon Secours Hospice by Compassus and become part of the joint venture.
While the names are changing, patients and families will continue to receive the same high-quality, compassionate care from the team members they know and trust. The partnership with Compassus allows for an added level of support for Bon Secours patients’ ongoing journeys across the care continuum and beyond the health system walls.

South Carolina’s senior population is expected to increase by 22% by 2030, according the U.S. Census Bureau. With most adults desiring to age in place, the need for home-based care services is projected to grow nationwide. The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reports more than 35,000 patients elected hospice in the state last year.
