The Compassus home health program serving Rhinelander, formerly Ascension at Home, has ranked among the company’s top three programs in the country and named a Compassus Program of Distinction for its outstanding performance in 2020.
The Rhinelander program, which serves patients and families in Forest, Iron, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, Price and Vilas counties, outperformed its peers in six evaluation categories that include regulatory compliance, colleagues and culture, quality care, service excellence, expanding access to services and fiscal responsibility.
Compassus established its six Pillars of Success to give the company’s 200 locations across 30 states a common service vision based on measurable goals that continually lead to improving the quality of care for patients and their families.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our leadership and the members of the Rhinelander team,” said Wendy Freese, executive director of Compassus home health in Rhinelander. “Our program stands wholeheartedly behind our mission to provide exceptional home health care and we are honored to be recognized for our unwavering efforts to support the medical and emotional needs of patients.”
“Person-centered approaches to care are more essential than ever, and home-based care allows patients to avoid unnecessary hospitalizations and live as comfortably as possible in familiar surroundings,” said Kurt Baumgartel, Compassus executive vice president and chief operating officer, home health and infusion. “I am proud of our colleagues who strive to make a positive difference in the lives of patients every day.”
