GREEN BAY, Wis. – Compassus, a nationwide network of community-based hospice, palliative and home health care, has moved to a new office space at 2960 Allied Street, Suite 105 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The new location will expand access to patients and families in Green Bay and the surrounding counties.
Compassus – Green Bay provides high-quality, compassionate hospice care to improve quality of life for patients facing a life-limiting illness and their families. The supportive care team, which consists of physicians, nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains and volunteers, works together to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients, wherever they call home.
This comprehensive approach to health care continues to be underutilized throughout the United States. Studies have proven earlier access to hospice care and longer lengths of stay improve patient and family satisfaction. Yet in 2017, a greater proportion of Medicare patients (27.8%) nationwide were enrolled in hospice a total of seven days or fewer compared to all other length of service categories. During the year of 2017, 54.2% of Wisconsin Medicare decedents were enrolled in hospice at the time of death.
Compassus – Green Bay is a Community Health Accreditation Partner under the Hospice Standards of Excellence. CHAP accreditation demonstrates the program meets the industry’s highest nationally recognized standards for quality and compliance.
