HOUSTON – The Compassus hospice program serving Houston has named April Rose as executive director. Rose brings more than 14 years of clinical and leadership experience in hospice to her new role.
Rose will oversee day-to-day operations of the program’s two locations in East Houston and West Houston and lead their teams of affiliated physicians, medical professionals, social workers, volunteers and other specialists to deliver the highest quality care.
Compassus – Houston serves patients and families in Harris, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Austin, Chambers, Colorado, Galveston, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker, Waller, Wharton, Hardin, Jefferson and Orange counties.
“With years of nursing experience in the field, I have seen firsthand the benefits of hospice care for those facing life-limiting illnesses,” said Rose. “At Compassus, I look forward to helping improve access to this type of care and fulfilling the expectations of our patients and their families.”
Rose received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to joining Compassus, she served as a travel nurse for CoreMedical Group and as regional executive director specialist at Kindred Hospice.
