Honoring Veteran Glenn Dickey
The Compassus hospice program serving Muskogee, Oklahoma, and the surrounding communities recently had the profound honor of participating in a We Honor Veterans Pinning Ceremony for Glenn Dickey, a distinguished Navy veteran. Mr. Dickey’s service to our nation is remarkable, having served as a Master Diver in the U.S. Navy and trained under the legendary Master Diver Carl Brashear.
This ceremony took place at The Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. It was a moment of deep respect and gratitude, attended by Mr. Dickey’s family, who numbered ten strong, and supported by twelve members of the VA Hospital staff. Also in attendance were four dedicated members of the Compassus Muskogee Program: Compassus Area Market Executive Brian Bynum, a USAF Veteran; Rooshawn Pratt, Compassus Chaplain and US Navy Veteran; Cara Girty, Hospice Care Consultant; and Radell Paris, Director of Clinical Services.
For all present, it was a privilege to recognize Mr. Dickey’s incredible service and to be part of this moving ceremony. These moments serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our veterans and the importance of honoring their contributions to our nation’s freedom.
We extend our deepest thanks to everyone who contributed to making this event so meaningful, and especially to Mr. Glenn Dickey and his family for their unwavering dedication and service to our country.
