Her drive to make a difference continues to inspire her team and the families she serves every day.
Q: Lisa, you’ve had a long and varied career in home health. Can you share a bit about your journey and how you ended up in your current role at Compassus?
A: I’ve been part of the OhioHealth team since 2013, starting with Marion General Hospital Home Care before it transitioned to OhioHealth at Home. Over the years, I’ve held several positions, including RN case manager, weekend clinical coordinator, clinical intake RN and disability case manager for OhioHealth Employer Services. When OhioHealth at Home partnered with Compassus in January 2025, I stepped into the clinical coordinator role, bringing my years of experience and passion for home health into this new chapter.
Q: What motivates you in your work, and why do you do what you do?
A: My motivation comes from my time as a field nurse and case manager, where I saw firsthand how important it is to provide timely, quality care to keep patients safe at home. Helping our patients stay out of the hospital and get the care they need when they need it is what drives me every day.
Q: That’s truly inspiring. What’s been the most rewarding part of your role?
A: One of the most rewarding parts is being able to work alongside my daughter, who’s also a nurse and case manager in the Marion office. She convinced me to come back to home health, and now we get to work together every day, which is a dream come true.
Q: Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
A: I’m very involved in my church, where I coordinate Aspire Women’s Events and volunteer. I also love to travel with my husband and spend time with my children and grandchildren. With two grandsons, ages 5 and 1, family time is always a priority.
Q: Your dedication to your patients and team really shines through. How does Compassus’ mission align with your personal values?
A: Compassus’ core values really resonate with me. It’s an honor to work for a company that shares my commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Q: What would you say to others who are considering joining the home health field?
A: Home health is such a rewarding field. If you have a passion for helping others and want to make a real difference in people’s lives, this is the place for you. It’s all about being there when it matters most—helping people stay in the comfort of their own homes while receiving the care they need.
