WASHINGTON, Iowa – The Compassus hospice location serving Washington is moving this week to a new office space at 119 E. Second St., in Washington, Iowa. The location will continue to serve patients and families in Davis, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, VanBuren, Wapello and Washington counties.
“We are dedicated to providing care for our patients wherever they call home, whether in their own home, an assisted living facility or nursing home,” said Patricia Christy, executive director of Compassus – Washington. “Our service area is growing and expanding, and our team is increasing accordingly. This new office will give our program more space to operate and expertly care for the community.”
The mission of Compassus is to provide high-quality and compassionate hospice care to improve quality of life for patients and their families. The supportive care team, which consists of physicians, nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains and volunteers, works together to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of their patients.
Hospice is the original comprehensive approach to health care. No other health care sector is required to address all aspects of a patient’s and family’s health and well-being.
