JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Jim Biggs and Kathleen Rackers, hospice care consultants for the Compassus program serving Jefferson City and the surrounding areas, were honored for their outstanding performance and inducted into the 2018 Compassus Presidents’ Circle during a recent awards ceremony at the Compassus National Leadership Meeting in New Orleans.
The Presidents’ Circle is reserved for top-performing Compassus hospice care consultants. Biggs and Rackers are two of 64 inductees this year, all of whom have consistently expanded access to hospice, palliative and home health care in their communities through education of referral sources and families. This is Biggs’ fifth and Rackers’ fourth time receiving the honor.
“Jim and Kathleen have consistently shown dedication to helping our patients and their loved ones gain access to the care they need,” said Mandy Lawrence, executive director of Compassus – Jefferson City. “Their hard work and commitment to spreading the Compassus vision is unsurpassed and an inspiration to other colleagues. I am proud of and grateful to them for making a positive impact on the lives of the patients and families we serve.”
“We are honored by this recognition and thankful to be able to do meaningful work that helps patients facing life-limiting illnesses receive the quality end-of-life care they need,” said Biggs.
“And we look forward to continuing to serve the needs and fulfilling the expectations of those in Jefferson City,” said Rackers.
