Care Moment – Maryann

When Compassus patient Maryann was visiting with Milwaukee Chaplain Andrew Nyren she mentioned her sister’s birthday was close to hers and they always had to share the holiday. Disclosing she never truly felt celebrated sharing the birthday spotlight, she said she always dreamt of a celebration that focused on her that included white cake with white frosting. With the help of the Compassus Living Foundation and the Milwaukee team, Maryann’s long-awaited Birthday Wish came true when she was presented with a white frosted cake large enough to share, balloons, flowers and a banner! So surprised and grateful to be the guest of honor, she cried tears of happiness as the team sang Happy Birthday to Maryann– and only Maryann. Thank you to the entire Milwaukee Team for providing compassionate care while delivering on our ‘Care for who I am’ promise. Happy YOU Day Maryann—we hope you ate lots of well-deserved cake! 🍰
