RICHMOND, Virg. โ The Bon Secours Hospice by Compassus program serving Richmond, Virginia, and surrounding areas is pleased to announce the appointment of Michele Irons, MD, as medical director.
Dr. Irons brings a wealth of experience with 20 years in health care, including over nine years dedicated to hospice care. In her career, she has earned her Hospice Medical Director certification and is a proud fellow of the American College of Physicians.

In her role as medical director, Dr. Irons will oversee the medical care delivered by the hospice program in Richmond. She will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers and other dedicated professionals to ensure that each patient receives the highest standard of care.
Dr. Irons completed her undergraduate studies at the College of William and Mary, earned her masterโs from Virginia State University and received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. She also completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
