LAKESIDE, Ariz. – The Compassus program serving the White Mountains is hosting its 4th Annual 5K Walk/Run to benefit the White Mountain Hospice Foundation this Memorial Day.
Compassus’ mission is to provide high-quality end-of-life, advanced illness and home health care to patients and their families with compassion, integrity and excellence. The company’s goal is to provide the greatest possible comfort and care in life’s most intimate and challenging moments.
The White Mountain Hospice Foundation is committed to fulfilling special wishes to enhance a hospice patient’s quality of life and providing financial help for families in need.
“Caring for a terminally ill loved one brings both emotional and financial challenges,” said Debra Brackey, executive director for Compassus – White Mountains. “We are proud to support the foundation’s efforts to ensure families do not worry about utility bills, grocery costs or transportation fees so they can focus on spending quality time with their loved ones in hospice.”

The event is open to all ages. The donation is $40 per participant ages 13 and up, and includes lunch and a t-shirt. There will be fun activities for children of participants ages 12 and under.
